The NZFEA is the organisation representing the interests of all New Zealand flower and tuber exporters. It was established in 1994 and has approximately 20 members who between them handle over 95% of New Zealand flower exports.

The Association has articulated a vision and defined
a number of objectives for both itself and the wider industry:

	NZ FLOWER INDUSTRY	NZ FLOWER EXPORTERS ASSOCIATION
Vision	To be the preferred Southern Hemisphere supplier of premium (high-value, high-quality) exotic flowers to the affluent world markets	To enhance the operations of its members by providing leadership to the flower industry through communications and initiatives with key industry stakeholders
Objectives	To double the industry export revenue from NZ$50m to NZ$100m	To be recognised as the key authority on flower industry matters

Co-ordinate Export Market Development in conjunction with exporters, product groups and NZ Trade & Enterprise

Collection and dissemination of market information
Encouragement of new species development
Development of new or difficult markets
